加拿大保險？這確實是很容易被忽略的一環。如果人在加拿大，意外和醫療險其實是非常重要的。
重要性
一般國際學生若是需要去醫院看病，費用不只不低，相對於物價，實際上是非常昂貴的。加拿大保險裡的醫療險分為短期醫療保險和長期醫療保險兩個部分，大家可以視需求或依照預計所待時間去衡量。
各省規定
加拿大各省對國際學生的醫療保險規定並不相同。某些規定國際學生可以投保該省實施的醫療保險，某些省則要求需要自行向民營保險公司購買醫療保險。建議學生事先或在抵達加拿大時購買臨時醫療保險。
一般而言，所有的學校皆會提供給學生各式各類保險方面的資訊，有些學校的註冊費中就含保險費，有些學校則會提供團體保險費率給學生。去加拿大的學生可以通過不同的方式獲得醫療保險。
卑詩省（BC）：持六個月或以上學簽的學生就一定得加入該省的醫療保險計畫，而申請該保險後需等待兩或三個月才會生效。
安大略省（ON）：留學生不得參加該省的國家醫療保險計畫，他們必須加入的反而是大學健康保險計畫（UHIP）。
而學校依法一定會要求學生有保險。
