什麼是 CLB ？
加拿大 CLB 是Canadian Language Benchmarks 的縮寫，主要是加拿大政府用來衡量申請移民者的英文能力標準。所謂的 CLB 並不是一個語言測試考試，而是加拿大政府為了評估移民者申請移民時所使用的一個語言基準，主要是拿來評測在加拿大國內用英文或者法文當第二語言的人，他們對者兩個語言熟練程度的標準。
而在 加拿大 CLB 裡認證的語言考試分別為法語跟英語，其中英語分為 CELPIP 思培G類 和 IELTS 雅思 G類。其中 CELPIP 思培考試是加拿大所設計的英文考試，所以考試內容會比較貼近加拿大日常生活。
IELTS 雅思考試則是主要分為學術類(A類：Academic)和培訓類(G類：Genernal Training)，A類主要用於評量考生英文水平是否滿足申請本科系，而G類主要計劃於要到英語系國家工作或是移民的人。
在加拿大移民分數計算只接受G類成績。
移民 加拿大 CLB 分數要幾分？
根據不同的移民類別，申請人有不同的成績要求
加拿大聯邦技術類移民（FSW），最低要求是CLB7
- 雅思 聽/說/讀/寫/ 高於 6 分
- 思培 聽/說/讀/寫/ 高於 7 分
加拿大經驗類移民 （CEC）根據不同類別有不同要求
0類或者A類，最低要求是CLB7
- 雅思 聽/說/讀/寫/ 高於 6 分
- 思培 聽/說/讀/寫/ 高於 7 分
B類，最低要求是CLB5
- 雅思 讀 高於4分 其餘聽/說/寫/ 高於 5 分
- 思培 聽/說/讀/寫/ 高於 5分
