Humber College 漢博學院 就讀 心得
Humber College 漢博學院成立於1967年，位於多倫多，是加拿大最著名的理工學院之一。 說到Humber，最為人知的就是學生畢業後的就業率高達90%以上。今天我們就請到了今年從商學院 Global Business Management 畢業的學生Ellie分享一下她在 Humber College上學的 心得 。
你讀的是什麼課程呢？
我是唸「國際企業管理」 Global Business Management 的 Postgradate Certificate，是一個16個月的課程+實習，畢業後可以申請3年的工作簽證。
為什麼選擇多倫多？
多倫多是北美發展最快速，而且種族較多樣的城市，在這邊可以認識來自不同國家的人，想念台灣口味的時候，這邊也有很多台灣的餐廳可以選擇，總和了各種因素，我認為多倫多在我心中贏過很多其他城市。
為什麼選擇 Humber College？
我是在台灣的大學企業管理系畢業後才過來多倫多的，當初有考慮過是否要再就讀商業有關Diploma的科系，但是又覺得如此一來學習的東西又跟讀大學時的科目相差不了多少。我作了一些研究，發現Humber College 的 Global Business Management 是唯一一個有 Postgraduate Certificate 2年的科系，而且剛好符合我想念商業相關的，其他科系或學校的Postgraduate Certificate 都只有8個月，就讀2年的好處是畢業後工簽最長可以拿3年，所以我就選擇報名了Humber College。
Humber College 上課心得
Postgraduate Certificate 的科系錄取標準之一是學生需要有大學文憑，因此班上可能有很多人都是已經有過多年工作經驗，年齡分布很廣泛，所以常常可以在課堂上聽到很多人分享他們的經驗，我覺得這是一個很棒的體驗，可以聽到同學們以前如何面對處理工作上的難題。
Global Business Management 這個科系所有的科目都是必修，沒有選修，所以同學們第一年大致都不會變，第二年之後，你可以從9種專業中選擇1種（例如：Advertising Media Management、Entrepreneurial Enterprise、Fashion Management．．．），選好後接下來的2個學期就都會學習這個科系的科目。
我選擇的是Entrepreneurial Enterprise這個科系，在這科系裡，同學們幾乎都是未來想要創業的人，課堂上也有很多需要分享創業計劃、商業計劃的科目，我覺得這是一個非常好的機會聆聽同學們有什麼樣的創業想法，我也可以得到其他人對我的意見。運氣好的話也可以找到志同道合的朋友一起寫創業計劃，未來將有可能一起工作，也是很好的機會可以建立人脈。
覺得 Humber College 有哪些優點？
我覺得 Humber College 的資源很豐富，有非常多電腦可以用，可以借筆電、平板電腦等等工具。學校也有社團、有學生會舉辦活動、免費的健身房、撞球、遊戲中心。
學校也有「就業中心」可以讓你諮詢，有專業人士幫你看resume，或是練習面試等等的，還有專人幫你檢查報告的的文法、拼字等等。
在每個學期結束後，學校會寄 email 給學生線上問卷，讓我們對教授們評分及給予評價。
給想念 Humber College 的人一些建議吧！
在班上什麼樣的人都有，有勤勞的同學，也有懶惰的，有些人可能只是想要透過這個科系來獲得留在加拿大的機會，我整個學期看不到他們幾次，特別是分組的時候，要選擇自己可以信任的同學，否則很有可能只有自己一個人完成整份報告。
學校有很多免費資源可以運用，對國際學生也有提供很多幫助，有需要的話就盡管使用。
在學院裡可以交到許多來自各國的朋友，多認識人，對未來都是很大的幫助唷！
