在 加拿大 College 和 University 到底有什麼差別？
其實在 加拿大 所謂的學院 ( College ) 和大學 ( University )是很絕對的概念分明，而他們最主要的區別就在於學術和實用的差別。
大學 ( University ) 主要會比較傾向於學術方面的研究也會比較注重實用教育，基本上會有比較多的實驗或者寫論文和調查作業，而學院 ( College ) 的培養重點會比較偏向於就業，但也不是絕對，大學( University ) 也會有實用的教育而學院( College ) 也會有理論學習的部分，只是偏重的比例不同。
- 不同的地方也還有學制的長度：
學院( College ) 因為以職業為導向，所以文憑主要的形式分為證書學制1年(Certificate Program) / 文憑學制 (Diploma Program)2-3年 / 學士學位 (Bachelor Degrees)3-4年。
大學 (University)主要以學術和研究為主，本科學術學位 (Bachelor’s) 3年 / 碩士學位(Master’s) 2年 / 博士學位 (Doctoral) 4-6年。
相比之下，大學( University ) 的申請要求和學費也都會相對的比較高，現在 加拿大 也有很多學院都和大學有合作關係，所以對於那些成績還達不到大學錄取標準的，都可以先在學院裡就讀然後再把學分轉到相關有合作的大學繼續學習哦！

Q: 在 加拿大 念大學一定會賺比較多也比較好就業嗎？
A: 其實這沒有一定，在加拿大因為學院 ( College ) 相較於大學 ( University )更注重實踐教學，所以課程也會比較具有實用性，而大學則是注重於理論學術類的知識，所以換句話說College反而會更貼近就業找工作哦！
Q: 大學 ( University ) 的教學質量會比 學院( College )更好？
A: 其實不會哦！因為College通常是採用小班制的教學方式，這樣使得學生和老師之間聯繫更加的緊密，不像University通常一門課會有破百個學生，教授基本上不太會記得每位學生，所以相較於College就能擁有更多Coop的帶薪實習機會，而且College的課程幾乎都是有提供實習機會的，甚至很多學生畢業後就可以直接留在實習公司。
Q: 我就讀University會更有利於獲得畢業工簽嗎？
A: 其實就讀 College 兩年的diploma 課程就可以在畢業後獲得三年的工作簽證喔，而且畢業後學生累積的工作經驗也能申請移民，相較像學費也便宜許多，因此會建議想要快速移民的人可以選擇就讀College的方式來取得移民哦！
Q: 我的語言成績不好，年紀也大了，是不是就不能念College移民了？
A: 其實 College 入學成績普遍要求雅思 6 分，如果分數不低於5的學生，也可以在College裡就讀2-4學期的語言課程就有機會免語言直接就讀課程哦，而對於那些年齡比較偏大的學生來說，可以透過通過College的語言項目再申請旅遊簽證轉學簽，通過簽證機會會大幅提升！
